2017

Founded

Syyclops was founded with the goal of bringing decades of building design and operations expertise to a software platform, helping facilities run more efficiently.

2020

COVID-19 Response

Played a critical role in indoor air quality monitoring during the pandemic. Partnered with the DC Department of General Services to deploy sensors across public buildings and schools, giving teachers, students, and parents confidence to return safely.

2021

DOE Recognition

Received a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy, validating the platform's impact on energy efficiency and smart building technology.

2023

Scaling Digital Twins

Deployed digital twin solutions across education and hospitality, including Flint Hill School and Hyatt Place Hotel.

2024

AI Engineer

Launched the AI Engineer, an intelligent assistant for building diagnostics and troubleshooting, available directly through the platform and mobile app.

Building automation data comes in through a Voltron BACnet gateway that streams BACnet points to the Syyclops cloud over MQTT, and Claude users can connect through the Syyclops MCP connector.

Does Syyclops use my building data to train AI models?

No. Syyclops does not use building data to train, fine-tune or otherwise improve any third-party or proprietary foundation model. Building data is processed only to provide the service to the customer.

Is Syyclops SOC 2 compliant?

Yes. Syyclops is SOC 2 Type II compliant. Advantage Partners, an independent service auditor, examined the Syyclops Digital Twin Platform against the AICPA Trust Services Criteria for Security over the observation period April 1 to July 1, 2026, and issued an unqualified report. The report is available under NDA through the Syyclops Trust Center.
